Make compactor check interval and initial delay configurable - #2352
Motivation runCompactor currently polls on a hardcoded 50ms ticker, so under low write load it keeps waking up doing nothing; the reporter measured this at roughly 1.1–1.2% continuous CPU. This change makes the polling interval and the initial delay configurable while keeping the defaults identical to today's behavior.
Changes
New Options fields CompactorCheckInterval and CompactorInitialDelay, with WithCompactorCheckInterval / WithCompactorInitialDelay setters.
Defaults preserve current behavior: 50ms ticker; an initial delay of 0 keeps the existing random [0, 1s) stagger, positive values are used as an exact delay.
The Lmax trigger is converted from a fixed 200 ticks to ceil(10s / interval) (minimum 1), preserving the roughly 10-second cadence at any interval.
Negative values for either option are rejected.
Tests
New TestCompactorSchedulingOptions covering defaults, custom values, and negative-value rejection.
Full root-package suite green: go test -count=1 . (about 469s).

Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Compaction check intervals and initial delays can now be configured. The default check interval is 50 ms; a zero initial delay retains randomized staggering of less than one second, while a positive delay is applied exactly.
Lmax-to-Lmax compaction checks now adjust to the configured interval, targeting approximately 10 seconds between checks.
Bug Fixes
Negative compaction intervals and initial delays are rejected with field-specific errors.
The PR adds configurable compactor check intervals and initial delays to Options. It rejects negative values and updates compactor scheduling to use the configured interval, including an interval-based Lmax check threshold.

Summary
Timing options and validation options.go, db.go, options_test.go
Options adds compactor timing fields and setters. The default check interval is set, negative values are rejected, and tests cover option values and validation.
runCompactor uses the configured initial delay and check interval. The Lmax threshold is calculated to target approximately ten seconds, with tests for interval calculations.

Explanation
Issue #2351 requires configurable compactor scheduling interval and initial delay through badger.Options. The reviewed head adds CompactorCheckInterval and CompactorInitialDelay as time.Duration fields and adds both fluent setters. The compactor uses the configured positive values. Zero retains the 50 ms interval and randomized initial delay behavior. Validation rejects negative values. TestCompactorSchedulingOptions covers defaults, custom values, timing calculations, and negative-value rejection.

Explanation
The supplied pull request evidence lists changes in db.go, levels.go, options.go, and options_test.go. These changes implement option validation, compactor scheduling, public setters, and automated tests for issue #2351. The evidence does not show unrelated production behavior or unrelated tests. The Lmax timing adjustment supports the configurable interval objective.

Major · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Keep normal compaction available when the Lmax threshold is one tick.
If LmaxCompaction is enabled and CompactorCheckInterval is at least 10 seconds, compactorLmaxTicks returns one. Worker 2 then enters this branch on every tick and never calls runOnce(). This permanently removes that worker from normal compaction, which can leave normal compaction work waiting under load. Run normal compaction on Lmax ticks as well, or schedule the two checks independently.
