01 // About me Qiyu Li. I build AI-native tools and creative software around thinking, creating, and working with AI — mostly around human–AI interaction, visual systems, and turning messy ideas into things that actually work. Outside the editor you'll usually find me around photography, films, table tennis, and whatever I'm curious about next. Currently exploring: human–AI interaction, creative software, cinematography, visual systems. Principles: human judgment stays in the loop; build the tools I wish already existed. 03 // Selected work — tools I wanted to exist, so I built them.

Context Distiller — Choosing what an AI gets to see is the step nobody built a tool for. A workspace for picking, grouping and compiling that context into one plain-text message — locally, and never sent anywhere. TypeScript, React 19, WXT, Manifest V3. Governance Framework — Run several AI agents and they forget, contradict each other, and disagree about which file is real. Pinning the facts into files fixes what a smarter model cannot. Markdown, YAML, Python, Validators. Window Annotator — Drawing on the thing you are looking at should not depend on the app supporting it. Hand-drawn marks pin to any Windows window and follow it as it moves, resizes and scrolls. Electron, JavaScript, koffi FFI, Windows. Pixel Panels — The components this page is built from, lifted out and documented. One 2px grid, one embedded bitmap face, and the four rules that keep fourteen separate parts reading as a single instrument. JavaScript, SVG, Zero-dependency, MIT. DSH Universal Palette — Three products with three different colour systems, and a designer retyping hex codes between them. One plugin turns whatever you are looking at into the palette you actually use. TypeScript, Figma Plugin, Design Tokens. quiet-shelf-obsidian — Hide archived and index notes from the Obsidian file explorer without moving them, and focus the tree on one set of folders at a time. JavaScript, file-explorer, focus-mode, markdown.
