Default setup runs on ubuntu-latest, and GitHub shows a notice that the label will move to Ubuntu 26. A committed workflow pins the runner to ubuntu-26.04 and keeps the languages, query suite and triggers default setup uses today.

CodeQL default setup runs on
ubuntu-latest, and every scan now carries a notice that the label will move to Ubuntu 26. 🛡️ This PR replaces default setup with a committed workflow that pinsubuntu-26.04, so the notice goes away and the runner image changes only when we change it.The workflow matches what default setup runs today: the
actionsandpythonlanguages, thedefaultquery suite, and scans on pushes tomain, pull requests and a weekly schedule, plus manual dispatch. Each language runs as its own job withbuild-mode: noneand uploads under the same/language:<lang>category, so existing alerts carry over. The jobs get read access to the code and write access to security events, nothing else.Rollout
