Summary
Visual Studio Marketplace releases now use GitHub Trusted Publishing instead of a stored PAT. Open VSX keeps its existing token authentication. The publishing job requests an OIDC token and uses vsce 4.1.0 with the tested VSIX.
This changes release authentication when merged. Marketplace has an active trust policy for
towardsthecloud/cloudburnandvscode-release.ymlwithout an environment restriction. Missing trust fails the Marketplace job. Keep the PAT until an OIDC release succeeds and older tags no longer need it; reverting restores PAT publishing.Diagram
