ci(ex63): overlap light lanes with the cargo chain and store large test executables - #8146
Conversation
The maximum executable size for tinymold was increased from 256M to 2G to accommodate larger test executables without filling the scratch disk. This change allows for storing executables instead of recompiling the core test harness on every run. Auto-committed-on: macbook Co-authored-by: Medulla <medulla@tinyhumans.ai>
Adjusted the logic in the pruning script to correctly reflect that removing executables stored by Tinymold does not free disk space if they share inodes with the store. This clarifies when space is actually freed during the coverage cleanup process. Auto-committed-on: macbook Co-authored-by: Medulla <medulla@tinyhumans.ai>

Keep check-level Cargo work in the Cargo chain
When an embed change selects both docs and rustCore, rust-cov starts after frontend:pnpm-install, while the same frontend lane soon executes docs-drift; that check sets a check-level CARGO_BUILD_TARGET_DIR, and pnpm docs:check runs a core/embed Cargo build (lanes-plan.mjs:324-342). Because the frontend lane itself has no targetDir, this line classifies it as light and overlaps that compile with rust-cov, creating the exact two-whole-core case the preceding comment says the 24 GB VM cannot fit. On cache misses this can drive the runner into swap or OOM, so chain assignment needs to account for Cargo-running checks (or move docs-drift into a Cargo lane), not only lane-level targetDir.

This change refactors how lanes are scheduled in the self-hosted runner, specifically for the ex63 profile. It simplifies the logic to ensure private lanes run sequentially, even when parallelism is requested, which aligns with observed performance constraints on the target environment. Move the latch-order fix into TinyAgents
When a classified halt reaches after_agent, this code works around FailureScopeMiddleware::after_agent clearing its latch by writing the TinyAgents-owned AgentRun before delegating. That cleanup/propagation ordering is generic harness middleware behavior rather than OpenHuman policy, so this leaves the PR dependent on a host-side stopgap that can drift from upstream; make the ordering fix in vendor/tinyagents, update its gitlink, and keep this adapter mechanical.

Update the scheduler docs to contract v7
When maintainers use the scheduler integration docs, this assertion now establishes Schedule contract v7, but crates/openhuman-core/src/modules/tinyflows.rs:5, crates/openhuman-core/src/modules/README.md:310, crates/openhuman-core/src/cron/client.rs:4, and crates/openhuman-core/src/cron/README.md:14 still advertise v6 (as does docs/module-boundary-inventory.md:555). This leaves the documented bus compatibility target one version behind the compiled adapter, so update those contract references with this bump.

Summary
Third EX63 performance round, following #8139. The VMs now have 24 GB of RAM. Run 39423098513's lowest free memory was 10.6 GB, against 518 MiB at 13 GB. This PR spends that headroom.
Runner.chainOf). There are never two whole-core cargo lanes at once. Peaks: rust-cov 13.1 GB plus vitest 4.5 GB, inside 24 GB. The light chain was 388 s of the 2,016 s serial total in 39423098513.max-executable-size256M → 2G). With the 256M limit, the core test harness (the whole core compiled undercfg(test)) was never stored, so every run compiled it again. The limit existed because stored executables share inodes with the target and filled the 160 GB scratch. Scratch is 320 GB now. Run 39423098513 peaked at 96 GB of target with 167 GB free.tinymold.loginci-out-ex63. It has one line per compile with outcome, crate, time and why it wasn't stored. That way the 1,705 s spent on 200 unstored misses can be ranked.Tests
scripts/__tests__/self-hosted-lanes.test.mjshas a new test, "private runner runs cargo lanes one at a time and overlaps them with the light lanes". It fails onmain("light lane waited for the cargo lane") and passes with the change. All 742 other script tests pass locally. The one local failure,i18n-coverage, needsnode_modules, which this worktree doesn't have.Measurement
CI Fast runs the base branch's workflow (
pull_request_target), so these changes take effect after merge. This PR's own runs are the 24 GB baseline: 39423098513 took 34m41s, with rust-cov at 1,161 s. I'll measure the first two runs after merge, the first cold for the new cache entries and the second warm, using:tinymold.log.Runner changes made alongside (host, not in this repo)
Known remaining cost
waprotoreruns its build script on the second cargo invocation of every job, which recompiles the core (3m56s in 39423098513). Fix upstream: oxidezap/whatsapp-rust#1762.Summary by CodeRabbit
