srelens is an open-source, local-first Kubernetes workspace for SREs, platform engineers and DevOps engineers. Investigate, analyse and take safe action across clusters. One pure-Rust core drives all three ways in:
- 🖥️ Desktop app: a native window built with Tauri v2 and React 19, for macOS, Linux and Windows. It also runs as a multi-user web app in Docker.
- ⌨️ Terminal UI (
srectl): one self-contained binary with k9s-style navigation, for SSH sessions and jump hosts. - 🤖 MCP server: every backend capability is also a Model Context Protocol tool, so AI agents work your clusters through the same code paths as the UI.
What sets it apart:
- Local-first. srelens talks straight to your API servers with your own kubeconfig credentials. Nothing goes through a srelens cloud service.
- Safe operations. Destructive actions are confirmation-gated in the app, in the terminal and over MCP. Reading a Secret needs consent of its own.
- Small and fast. A Rust core on the operating system's WebView, not Electron: the v0.5.0 macOS installer was 17.1 MiB, roughly 11× smaller than Freelens's.
- Extensible. Apps add pages, dashboards and confirmed GitOps actions for projects such as Flux, Argo CD and cert-manager, without changing srelens itself.
- Test-driven. TDD is the rule, and coverage floors are hard CI gates.

srelens is stable and in active development, with regular releases for macOS, Linux and Windows. Download the latest release, or follow the installation guide.
