I was drawn to programming by the ability to turn ideas into working systems. I want to understand how the parts interact—not just make a feature work, but know why the solution works and how its design affects the rest of the system. I'm most interested in practical software: web applications, developer tools, and tools for managing information or workflows. I care about clear structure, maintainable code, and interfaces that solve the problem without adding complexity for its own sake. As a self-taught developer, I build that understanding through independent projects, deliberate practice, and revisiting decisions when an implementation doesn't hold up. AI tools are useful when they help me explore or debug, but I still need to understand and validate the result.
