Before

A release is a version-named tag on main, and only a maintainer's own token can push one. The GitHub App these sessions push through may create claude/ branches but not tags, so 0.1.0 couldn't be cut from here.

After

A Release workflow in the Actions tab takes a version such as 0.1.0, checks that it's well formed and not already tagged, and tags main with it. The README says so. Once this is in, it gets run for 0.1.0, which readchek/app#4 and the README's install snippet depend on.

How

One workflow with contents: write, dispatched by hand. Tags pushed with the Actions token start no other workflows, which is fine here because nothing in this repository runs on tags.

Checks

  • swift test passes (no code changed)
  • The README and AGENTS.md reflect any change to products, requirements, usage or conventions

Generated by Claude Code

A release is a version-named tag on main, and the tag has to be pushed
by someone with a token that may create tags. The workflow lets a
maintainer cut one from the Actions tab with the version, after checking
it's well formed and not taken.
