actions/checkout v7, setup-python v7, cache v6, upload-artifact v7 and download-artifact v8. Linux jobs run on an explicit ubuntu-26.04 instead of ubuntu-latest, except Python 3.9, which setup-python provides only up to Ubuntu 24.04. What is the problem?
The workflows use Node.js 20 versions of the GitHub actions, which are deprecated. They also run on
ubuntu-latest, which moves to Ubuntu 26 from 2026-10-19.What is the solution?
checkoutv7,setup-pythonv7,cachev6,upload-artifactv7 anddownload-artifactv8, the same versions as CI: all actions on Node.js 24; Slack notifications via slackapi BinPackage#38.ubuntu-26.04. The one exception is Python 3.9, whichsetup-pythononly provides up to Ubuntu 24.04, so that job runs there.Breaking changes checked against our usage:
pull_request_targetorworkflow_runtriggers, which checkout v7 restricts.pip-install, the input that setup-python v7 removed.pattern, not by ID, so download-artifact's path change doesn't apply.How was this tested?
