I'm Lawrence (Loz) Knowles, a product leader, implementation adviser and lifelong tinkerer based in Collingham, UK. I enjoy making technology useful, finding out how things work, and seeing where a slightly ridiculous idea might lead.
My programming roots are in games. At 17, I wrote Space Bike for the Commodore 64, which went on to be published. That mix of problem-solving and play still runs through what I build. You can explore those early influences in the Arcade, including original Space Bike gameplay on a rotating neon glass cube.
Closer to home, I use technology to support the local community through Collingham.org, helping people discover local walks, places and history, and connect with village life. I like projects that make a practical difference to the place I live.
Nature is another source of curiosity, especially the way simple behaviours can create something beautiful and complex. Murmuration brings that interest into code: an interactive exploration of flocking, movement and collective behaviour.
I'm interested in all things AI, from local models and computer vision to agents that can help get useful work done. Agent Control brings those interests together: coordinating AI tools, following their work and keeping people in control. I'm also exploring research and memory with Signal Garden.
A keen sense of humour tends to sneak into the projects, too. LLM Fight Club gives AI personalities a microphone and something to argue about. Apparently the internet needed more confident opinions.
For another kind of wordplay, there's Crossword Studio: create a crossword from a document or article, solve it online, or download a PDF. Start with โLozโs worldโ, a prepared puzzle about arcade games, nature, bird flight and technology. Explore the code.
