There was a problem hiding this comment.
I reviewed this PR and found no bugs. A human should still look before merging, because the lockfile changes go beyond the zod bump and zod's own release notes report a recent compromised credential.
What was reviewed:
package.jsonand the lockfile importer agree: zod is^4.6.7and resolves to 4.6.7. zod has no dependencies, so it pulls in nothing else.- The lockfile also moves postcss (8.5.28 to 8.5.31), nanoid, source-map-js and @ napi-rs/wasm-runtime, and changes their integrity hashes. None of these are in zod's dependency tree. All are patch-level, but a zod-only update would not normally touch them. I couldn't check the new hashes against the registry from here.
- The zod 4.6.6 notes say six malicious commits were pushed with a compromised git credential, and that provenance names a pre-rewrite commit. 4.6.7's notes list only a version commit. Checking the published 4.6.7 tarball and its provenance is worthwhile.
Extended reasoning...
The change touches only package.json (zod ^4.6.5 to ^4.6.7) and pnpm-lock.yaml. It changes no source code and touches no auth or injection surface. The supply chain is the sensitive part: the lockfile changes resolved versions and integrity hashes for four packages outside zod's dependency tree. The commit's authorship is unverified, and the upstream notes report a recent credential compromise. I couldn't confirm the new hashes against the registry, so I deferred instead of approving.
