Two status lines had fallen behind.

  • DESIGN-BRIEF.md §2: "blockspec#2 stays open" becomes "blockspec#2 is closed".
  • README.md kinds table: nodespec's status "spike closed, not started" becomes "specification draft 0, conformance cases and reference checker", which is nodespec's own README wording for itself.

Evidence for each claim

  • blockspec#2 is closed: gh api repos/kindspec/blockspec/issues/2 --jq '.state, .state_reason, .closed_at' prints closed, completed, 2026-10-21T01:48:05Z. Its closing comment names prereg 3 run 2's verdict FOUND.
  • nodespec has specification draft 0: head -2 SPEC.md in kindspec/nodespec at 9b7c89b prints # nodespec — specification, draft 0.
  • nodespec has conformance cases and a reference checker: reference/nodespec/ and conformance/cases/ exist at 9b7c89b, and just conform there prints 322 case(s): 322 passed, 0 failed, 0 malformed; 0 provisional, 0 of them failed.
  • nodespec's README table row for itself reads specification draft 0, conformance cases and reference checker (grep -n 'named, not positional' README.md at 9b7c89b).

Checked and left as is

Gate

just check, just test (181 passed) and just conform (0 failure(s) across 547 case(s)) each exit 0 on this branch.

DESIGN-BRIEF.md §2 said blockspec#2 stays open; it was closed on
2026-10-21 with the spike's FOUND verdict. The README's kinds table
still called nodespec "spike closed, not started"; it now has
specification draft 0, conformance cases and a reference checker.
