Found on the first live who-line run (2026-10-21): arXiv RSS emits one comma-joined creator element per item, so
FeedItem.authorswas a single blob — the who-line rendered the whole blob instead of first-three + '+N', tracked-people hits could not fire mid-list (a tracked Schuster co-author rendered with no star), and the author-signal lane (#66) had been nearly blind in production. Names now split at parse; the affiliation marker class also strips stray list punctuation.
