Summary

Release-notes cleanup after v0.2.0. No code changes.

  • python/CHANGELOG.md: the three items under "Unreleased" shipped in the v0.2.0 release, so they now sit under ## 0.2.0:

    • the --digits error
    • revcomp refusing non-DNA input
    • pytest working before install
  • r/DESCRIPTION + r/NEWS.md: the R package was already 0.2.0 before these changes. It has new behaviour since:

    • IUPAC codes in reverse_complement()
    • NA kept as NA
    • an error on an empty motif in count_motif()

    So its development version 0.2.0.9000 becomes 0.3.0.

Testing

  • pytest gives 42 passed.
  • R testthat::test_local(".") passes.

After merging

Optionally:

  • Remove the "Unreleased" heading from the v0.2.0 GitHub release notes too.
  • Publish an R release tag, e.g. r-v0.3.0.

The three "Unreleased" Python items (--digits error, revcomp refusing
non-DNA, pytest before install) shipped in the v0.2.0 release, so they
now sit under 0.2.0 in python/CHANGELOG.md.

The R package was already 0.2.0 before these changes and has new
behaviour since (IUPAC reverse_complement, NA handling, count_motif
empty-motif error), so its development version 0.2.0.9000 becomes
0.3.0 in DESCRIPTION and NEWS.md.
