When the Node 20 entry in .github/workflows/nodejs-test.yml runs npm ci followed by npm run test:vi, it now installs Vitest 5, whose lockfile metadata requires Node ^22.12.0 || ^24.0.0 || >=26.0.0; this also conflicts with the package's advertised node >=20.19.0 support. Node 20 environments using engine-strict will reject the install outright, and the repository's minimum-runtime test job otherwise runs an unsupported test runner, so either keep Vitest 4 while Node 20 is supported or update the engine and CI matrix together.
