brew install datacharter/tap/datacharter

DataCharter is a local, contract-governed data explorer with governed, read-only, PII-masked agent access, federated through DuckDB.

After install:

datacharter serve                 # local web UI at http://127.0.0.1:8321
datacharter mcp /path/to/workspace   # governed MCP server (stdio)

Works on macOS (Apple Silicon + Intel). Deps are vendored as pinned wheels, so installation is fast and needs no compilation. pip install datacharter / uvx datacharter remain the cross-platform install paths.
