Build the CLI before testing it in the release workflow - #1290
Conversation
The CLI now imports @buildinternet/uploads-sdk, which resolves to the SDK's dist. Testing before the build failed to resolve it, so the 0.60.1 release never published. The release run for #1282 failed in "Test and verify package" (run 954), so CLI 0.60.1 wasn't published:
Since #1287, the CLI imports
@buildinternet/uploads-sdk, which resolves to the SDK'sdist. That step ran the CLI tests beforebuild, so the SDK hadn't been built yet. Regular CI passed because the rootpretesthook builds first. This PR runs
buildbeforetest. Once it merges, the next run onmainhas no pending changesets, so it publishes CLI 0.60.1. SDK 0.1.0 is already on npm, so changesets skips it.Testing
packages/sdk/distremoved, the CLI tests fail with the same error.build, thentest(1,619 tests pass), thenpack:checkall pass.Generated by Claude Code
