Problem:

• shadowing issue was causing failure on windows CI builds
• https://godbolt.org/z/e9x9vd7GK shows the compilation error and the fix succeeding on the same compiler version as the CI

Solution:

• just renamed "tag" parameter to "tags" (argument only, didn't change events::test), it's a vector anyway so feels appropriate

Issue: no reported issue I could see, there's two open PRs that are failing with this error so this should resolve that and allow merging those
