Adds §6.3 to the competitive-landscape survey and updates three rows that it settles.

Candidate C (cross-language guard). The kernel already drops a same-name hit across language groups unless there is bridge evidence. A fresh index of huggingface/tokenizers and of this repository has no cross-language call edges, also after a sync. The 15 such edges in one long-lived local index do not reproduce on a fresh build. The row now says nothing is left to build.

Gap 7 (test selection). Flask at d086db8 against a per-test coverage oracle: codegraph affected at its default depth reports 421 tests with precision 0.65 and recall 1.00, against 0.62 for running everything. Depth 1 gives 0.93 / 0.34 and depth 2 gives 0.71 / 0.90. Explore's per-symbol test names that were printed were mostly correct, but 12 of 30 scorable symbols print no tests although about nine test modules run each. One repository and one language; the limits are in the section.

Gap 4. Marked done: edge origin and confidence were already stored and shown in the trail and Flow, and #455 labelled the Relationships list.

Docs only; no code or tests changed.

Summary by cubic

Adds §6.3 to the competitive-landscape survey and updates the three rows it settles: candidate C, gap 4, and gap 7. Docs only; no code or tests changed.

  • Candidate C: fresh indexes of tokenizers and this repository have no cross-language call edges, and the kernel already drops same-name hits across language groups without bridge evidence. The 15 edges in one long-lived local index do not reproduce on a fresh build.
  • Gap 7: against a per-test line-coverage oracle on Flask, with test modules paired to source files as the unit, codegraph affected at its default depth reports 421 pairs at 0.65 precision versus 0.62 for running everything; depth 1 gives 0.93 / 0.34 and depth 2 gives 0.71 / 0.90. Explore's per-symbol test lists are mostly correct but 12 of 30 scorable symbols print no tests despite about nine test modules running each.
  • Gap 4: marked done, since edge origin and confidence were already stored in edge metadata and feat(explore): label name-only calls in the Relationships list #455 labelled the Relationships list.

Written for commit 757da5c. Summary will update on new commits.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the competitive landscape survey with findings that fresh indexes contain no cross-language call edges and same-name cross-language matches are rejected without bridge evidence.
    • Marked edge-confidence work complete and the cross-language mis-wire guard as requiring no additional work.
    • Added Flask test-selection measurements at depths 1, 2, and 5, noting that explore’s test lists can include incorrect entries or report no tests.

Before / after behavior

  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/design/competitive-landscape-adoption.md: The cross-language guard candidate’s status changes from “No” to a completed check: the kernel already drops same-name cross-language hits without bridge evidence, and a fresh index showed no such call edges.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/design/competitive-landscape-adoption.md: The shortlist now marks edge confidence as done and says the cross-language guard needs no work, replacing the prior plan to inspect golden dumps and the tokenizers regression probe.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/design/competitive-landscape-adoption.md: Gap 4 now records edge origin and confidence as done, replacing the prior unverified status and instruction to check what had shipped.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/design/competitive-landscape-adoption.md: Gap 7 now records Flask test-selection measurements, replacing the unmeasured status.

Update the stale Gap 7 next-step.

The updated row says test selection was measured in §6.3, but this sentence says Gap 7 still needs a known-answer corpus and is the next measurement. Replace it with the current status.

Review: #456 (review)
Head: 757da5c
Reason: Fixed. The paragraph under the gap register no longer says the test-selection measurement is outstanding, and the table names its unit (test modules paired with source files).
