🌐 ProxyMaster Pro (winproxy)

A modern desktop GUI for mass proxy scanning, validation and smart system proxy management. Load thousands of proxies, test them concurrently with asyncio, inspect ping / HTTP latency / anonymity / country, filter and sort the healthy ones, then apply the best proxy to your system with one click.

Dashboard

A clean dark dashboard loaded with proxy lists and a live connection indicator.

Dashboard

Concurrent testing

Animated GO ring turns amber while proxies are validated; active proxies (flag, ping, HTTP time, anonymity) stream into the results table in real time.

Testing

Results — active only, sorted by speed

Performance, security and efficiency cards update automatically; the Active Only filter keeps the working proxies on top.

✨ Features

  • 📂 Load proxies from a text file, paste from clipboard or add manually.
  • 🚀 Mass concurrent validation with asyncio / aiohttp (HTTP + HTTPS).
  • 📊 Per-proxy ping, HTTP response time, anonymity level and country/flag detection.
  • 🔎 Live filters (active only, max ping) and sorting (HTTP time, ping, country, status).
  • 🟢 One-click Auto Set Best proxy, manual set, and Disable Proxy.
  • 💾 Exports healthy proxies to a file and to JSON results.
  • 🔔 Toast notifications, animated connection ring and a modern dark UI.
  • 🖥️ Windows first, cross-platform core — runs on Windows, Linux (GNOME) and macOS; system-proxy apply/reset adapts to the OS.

🧩 How it works

  • proxy_backend.py — all logic: proxy parsing, async testing, stats, country/anonymity detection, and system proxy configuration (netsh winhttp on Windows, networksetup on macOS, gsettings on GNOME).
  • proxy_frontend.py — the Tkinter GUI. Worker threads never touch widgets directly; UI updates are marshalled to the main thread through a queue.

📦 Installation

git clone https://github.com/bitpy2023/winproxy.git
cd winproxy
python -m venv .venv
# Windows: .venv\Scripts\activate
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt

Tkinter ships with the official Python installer on Windows. On Debian/Ubuntu install it once with sudo apt install python3-tk.

▶️ Run

python proxy_frontend.py
  1. Click Load Proxies (a sample proxies.txt is included) or Import Clipboard.
  2. Click Start Test and wait for validation.
  3. Tick Active Only, then click GO → Auto Set Best to apply the fastest healthy proxy.
  4. Click Disable Proxy to revert the system proxy.

The backend can also run standalone (prints a self-test):

python proxy_backend.py

⚙️ Platform notes

Platform Applying the system proxy Privilege
Windows netsh winhttp set proxy Run as Administrator
Linux GNOME gsettings (or print shell export hints) User session
macOS networksetup -setwebproxy/-setsecurewebproxy May prompt for password
  • A config.json and working_proxies_*.txt are created at runtime and are git-ignored.
  • Sound feedback (winsound) is only used on Windows and is safely skipped elsewhere.
  • Free proxies expire fast — re-run Start Test before every session.
