File Toolbox

A portable macOS file utility toolbox with a small AppleScript launcher and bash-based tools.

Included tools

1. Flatten Folders

Moves files from nested subfolders into the selected parent folder.

Features:

• duplicate handling modes
• optional empty-folder cleanup
• undo support
• dry run mode
• file type filters

2. Suffix Cleaner

Finds files with duplicate-style suffixes such as:

• (1)
• (2)
• copy
• trailing numbers like 1, 2

It can compare them against matching clean filenames across selected folders.

• cross-folder matching
• interactive actions
• optional cache mode for faster repeated scans
• backup folder for removed/replaced files

3. Maintenance

Cleans up runtime data such as:

• session folders
• backup folders
• cache files
• temporary files
• runtime state files
