Deployment
All arma tracker tools are designed to run within docker and to be deployed as a cluster using docker-compose. Here we will give instructions and examples on how to:
- Build a docker image for every tool we provide
- Deploy every tool individually using docker
- Deploy every tool using docker-compose
Note: It is not required to build your own images. We provide our own images on dockerhub.
All tools follow the exact same template for building an image consisting of a few easy to follow steps. Step one is to download the requred source code and coresponding Dockerfile. Easyest way to acheive that is to download the whole github repository and cd in to it. From there just run the command
docker build -t <IMAGE_NAME>:<IMAGE_VERSION> . and that's it! That's all there is to building a docker image for any of our tools. When the command finishes executing you can run
docker image lswhich will list all docker images on your PC/Server. There you can also see the image id which you can use to run the image later.
Note: docker requires root priviliges so you might need to put
sudoin front of every docker command if you are on linux.
Once again all tools follow pretty much the exact same template. They all expect a config file in their /app/data directory and that also where they output their logfile in to the /app/data/logs direcotry. Every tool comes with a provided example config file in its repository. Here is the example config file for Query and here is the example config for Honeycomb. To use them just remove the .example extension at the end of the file.
