Change logs

Adds a VisuaLeaf page to Ecosystem → SQL Clients, next to DBeaver, CloudDM,
LibreDB Studio and Tabularis.

VisuaLeaf is a cross-platform desktop database client (Windows, macOS, Linux). It
connects to Apache Cloudberry through its PostgreSQL connection type.

  • New page: docs/ecosystem/sql-clients/visualeaf.md, mirrored to
    versioned_docs/version-2.x/
  • Sidebar entries in sidebars.ts and versioned_sidebars/version-2.x-sidebars.json
  • 4 screenshots in docs/media/ (and the 2.x copy)

Verified against Apache Cloudberry 2.1.0-incubating (single-node): connection test,
browsing the gp_toolkit and public schemas (tables, views, sequences, procedures),
and a join + GROUP BY query on distributed tables.

Contributor's checklist

  • Clear title and commit message
  • Read the doc contribution guide
  • Deployment preview is successful (will check once the preview builds)

Hi @LyJacky, thanks for your update. However, I see that VisualLeaf is not open source, right? It would be great if it was open sourced.

Hi @tuhaihe, thanks for taking a look! Yes, VisuaLeaf isn't open source today. A lot of our work has gone into the things that set it apart (performance on large result sets, visual query building, ER diagrams), and keeping it closed for now is part of how we fund that development. That said, open-sourcing is something we're actively weighing; we just don't have a decision or timeline yet. In the meantime, the free Community Edition means Cloudberry users can connect and query without paying anything.

I tested the guide end to end against Cloudberry 2.1.0-incubating (browsing gp_toolkit/public, and queries on distributed tables), so it should be accurate for users who want a desktop client.
