) Plain `uv sync` re-resolves quietly when `pyproject.toml` and `uv.lock` disagree, so a pull request that changed a dependency without relocking passed CI and left master's lock stale. `--locked` makes that a failure in the test, lint, coverage, lowest and release workflows; docs builds already used `--frozen`.
