Explains how to keep custom skills durable: edit the declared source or a fork, and use committed Git snapshots to recover installed project copies that updates may replace. The quick start now shows Claude-only installation, adding Codex, updating, and uninstalling.
The guidance covers ordinary file installs, points to profile-specific protections, and distinguishes client destinations, ignored paths, symlinks, and user-global files. Runtime behavior is unchanged.
