[AAASM-6210] 馃敡 config(dependabot): Declare labels that actually exist in the repo - #345

Conversation
All three update blocks declared emoji-prefixed label names that exist in no repository in the fleet. Dependabot does not fail on a name that does not exist, it applies the subset that does and silently drops the rest, so every dependency pull request in this repo has been landing with only the "dependencies" label. Replace them with the fleet-standard plain names, which are now created in this repo, and drop the "enhancement" declaration outright: labelling every dependency bump as a feature request pollutes triage, so the fix is removal rather than a rename onto the existing label. What changed
All three Dependabot update blocks in this repo declared emoji-prefixed label
names. None of those names exists as a label in this repo, or in any repo in the
fleet. They are replaced with the fleet-standard plain names, and the
enhancementdeclaration is dropped rather than renamed. Why
Dependabot does not fail on a label name that does not exist. It applies the
subset that does exist and silently discards the rest, so the misconfiguration
produces normal-looking pull requests. Measured on the three most recent bot
pull requests in this repo, the only label ever applied was
dependencies.The
enhancementdeclaration is removed outright rather than pointed at theexisting
enhancementlabel: marking every dependency bump as a feature requestpollutes triage, so removal is the correct fix.
How to verify
The three plain labels (
github-actions,python,rust) were created in thisrepo before this pull request, so the declarations resolve immediately:
A fleet audit of all 42 active repos, cross-checking declared Dependabot labels
against live repo labels, reports this repo as the last remaining offender before
this change and clean after it.
The config parses as valid YAML with three update blocks and the expected label
sets. The observable confirmation is the next Dependabot pull request in this
repo carrying its ecosystem label as well as
dependencies.Refs AAASM-6210
