Zig is a Very Good Language but very UNSTABLE!
I was using zig 0.15.2 for my projects it was good but the IO api was unstable
for example we had a Bug for reading from stdin in windows but its fixed in 0.16.0
but now I`m using the 0.16.0 its good but the output binary size is much higher than 0.15.2
anyway i programmed this UniKernel because i wanted to know how an OS works
you just have to execute this command
zig build
and then you have the kernel.elf in the zig-out/bin
you have two options to test this kernel
first option is to test it with the QEMU Emulator
qemu-system-i386 -kernel kernel.elf
second option is to test it with your own Computer using a bootloader
i have put a limine bootloader config in the root directory of the project
and you can use that config
