Summary

Docs, site and release copy now agree with the tree, and new gates stop them drifting again.

Partially addresses #392: the SECURITY.md pinning sentence now explains that plugin-dist installs cannot be pinned to a tag. The contact channels are unchanged (the maintainer's decision).

Evidence

Live runs (local, no Blender needed):

  • python scripts/site/build_site.py --repo-root . --out docs, python scripts/build_gallery.py and python tests/check_site_links.py passed: 135 pages, 7115 internal references, 0 failures.

  • python tests/run_all.py after commit: 32 passed, 0 failed.

  • I read the generated HTML for every part I changed:

    • hero <pre> and its data-copy (two lines, newline-separated)
    • the lede note
    • the install heading and steps
    • the snippet heading
    • both footers
    • the gallery #check-only block (10 entries; dotted API paths like Object.evaluated_get stay intact in the summaries)
  • Falsification, run on a temporary copy of the repo:

    Reintroduced Result from check_counts
    "27 small standalone" README.md:56 says "| **Snippets** | 27"
"five to fifty lines" template.html.j2:544 error
AGENTS "27 standalone Python snippets" error
    ROADMAP v0.147 row removed last shipped theme row is (17, 9, 3, 28) ... repo has (18, 9, 3, 29)
    "16 skills" in site.json error
  • check_manifest_meta.py failed on the stale gallery footer before regeneration (docs/gallery/index.html footer does not show the license 'CC-BY-NC-ND-4.0 AND MIT') and passes after.

  • release_notes.py rendered against v0.145.0..HEAD: the two skill features lead, and the deps bump sits in the collapsed Maintenance block.

  • What's new: the local clone is shallow, so the normal build hides the strip, as designed. A probe that fakes only the history check rendered six text cards: the timers and extension-runtime skills, their snippets and their check-only examples, each "added 2026-10-04" (commit date).

Inspection only:

  • Layout at desktop and mobile width (no screenshots taken).
  • Cursor's rendering of logo.
  • The real CI release-notes output on the next release.

…story

Visitors and plugin users saw contradictory numbers (27 vs 29 snippets,
66 vs 56 examples with no explanation), a hero command that registers a
marketplace but installs nothing, install copy that still sent plugin users
to clone main, a Cursor listing with the old generic pitch and no logo, and
release notes where a new skill drowned in CI fixes.

- check_counts now scans ROADMAP, site.json, the site templates, the
manifests and the plugin-dist README, allows two words between number
and noun, checks the README layer table, the snippet line-range phrase
and ROADMAP's last shipped theme row (#448)
- hero shows and copies both Claude Code commands (#449)
- README/landing install copy no longer tells plugin users to clone main
or copy rules by hand (#450)
- ROADMAP: "Next for agents" section, missing theme rows, self-contained
  candidate text; ISSUE_TEMPLATE wording (#451)
- What's new lists skills, rules, snippets and check-only examples with a
  kind badge (#452)
- landing and gallery explain the 10 check-only examples (#453)
- both manifests share description, homepage, license and keywords; the
Cursor manifest gets a logo shipped in plugin-dist; gallery footer reads
the manifest license; tests/check_manifest_meta.py guards it (#454)
- release_notes.py leads with plugin-content changes and collapses
maintenance; policy documented in AGENTS.md (#455)
- SECURITY.md: plugin-dist installs cannot pin to a tag (#392, doc part)
