I just noticed that the behavior on bigger screen is different (example below)

Would you want me to implement the same scrolling ?

@BlaiseLebreton, could you give this branch a try: feat-breadcrumb-overflow-dropdown?
We'd prefer to go with this approach for breadcrumb navigation, as we find it more convenient than scrolling through the breadcrumb. Let us know what you think!

It may be cleaner but it makes less sense for me to have this kind of navigation
You loose the hierarchy information : is it top to bottom, bottom to top, or is it the folders next to the one you clicked ?

Scrolling lateraly on a smartphone is quite easy
But on computer it's indeed more annoying

You decide 🙃

As you can see in the screenshot, there's very little room to scroll on smartphone screens, and it's not really obvious that the breadcrumb is scrollable either.

We feel that keeping things simple and intuitive is the way to go, so we've decided to stick with the dropdown for now!

Great point about the hierarchy! It looks a bit better now.
That said, we're always happy to hear any other ideas or suggestions to make the mobile experience even better!

Thanks a lot for your help and feedback, really appreciate it! :)

We're closing this pull request in favor of #311.
