Yatagarasu — the Kasugai Kit

One creature, submitted whole. This PR supersedes #133 and #134: the design and the Roost were filed separately, but the crow is not a companion to the design — the bird is Yatagarasu, and the scrolls are her voice. A birdless submission would not be Yatagarasu, so the kit lands in one PR:

Piece Category Version
Yatagarasu (scroll design) notifications/yatagarasu 1.3.0
Yatagarasu Roost (the crow) plugins/yatagarasu-roost 1.0.0
Yatagarasu — the Kasugai Kit bundles/yatagarasu 1.0.0

The scroll (notifications)

Every notification arrives as a Kasugai dispatch scroll: a dark glass plate with a lit priority edge — LOW cyan, MEDIUM emerald, HIGH amber, CRITICAL rose — the sender's seal in a medallion, a framed picture when one rides (honouring show_images, no hole when absent), the message in mono, and a burn line along the foot that spends the scroll's remaining life. A CRITICAL scroll does not burn; it waits, ember-lit, with ACK REQUIRED until acknowledged. Long bodies unfold in place; the card mirrors for the left column and crowns for the centre; reduced motion is honoured throughout.

Four priorities ride two roads: the freedesktop urgency (low/normal/critical) and the suite dialect — a sender may set the hint x-jurai-priority (LOW|MEDIUM|HIGH|CRITICAL) to reach all four rungs, HIGH included.

The crow (plugins)

The Kasugai crow roosting on the desktop on her prism wire. Her own listener (stdlib-only Python over dbus-monitor) watches the session's notification bus, and her eye wears the freshest word — the last notification's priority colour, the calm prism when the wire is clear. Dependencies: python3, dbus-monitor. No bird stands on the card; she roosts at the corner, and the scrolls are what she says.

The bundle (bundles)

The bundle is the kit's front door. The bundle format has no design item type, so — per bundles/README.md — it carries the Roost as a plugin item (deferred to the Plugins tab) and presents the pair as the single kit it is; the scroll design installs from the Notifications category. Its preview is a real frame: two scrolls stacked above the crow's head, her eye emerald on the freshest word.

Validation

$ bash tests/validate-catalogue.sh
catalogue OK: every bundle item, manifest, and installer resolves.

Registry diffs are insertions only (94/0 across the three registries). Licence GPL-3.0-or-later; upstream https://github.com/SourceAura/yatagarasu — I maintain what I submit: version bumps and fixes land as new PRs, never by mutating this one.

The whole kit in one PR, superseding the separate design
(Ryoku-dev#133) and Roost (Ryoku-dev#134) submissions: the crow is not a
companion to the design — the bird is Yatagarasu and the
scrolls are her voice, so the kit lands whole or not at all.

notifications/yatagarasu v1.3.0 (dispatch-scroll card),
plugins/yatagarasu-roost v1.0.0 (the crow; her eye wears
the freshest word), bundles/yatagarasu v1.0.0 (the front
door — the format has no design item type, so the bundle
carries the Roost as a deferred plugin item and presents
the pair as one kit). Registry diffs are insertions only;
validate-catalogue green.

Thanks for this, the Kasugai Kit is live in the store now with a few small fixes on top so the crow stays calm and tidy when idle.

Thank you — for the merges, and for the fixes on top. You saw each piece the way it was meant to be seen: the greeting, the launcher path, the crow's calm. This project inspired the tools. I'm glad they earn their place in it. More coming, carefully.
