… changed pins affect - rs <distro> update-pinning moves the distribution's pinning (its distro.yaml version, or shared/pinning for distributions that follow it) to the latest conda-forge-pinning with the migrations done for its dependencies - vinca-rebuild-plan (RoboStack/vinca#168) decides what to rebuild: packages using a changed pin and everything depending on them get a per-package build number, the mutex a new build at the same version; more than half affected means a full rebuild - the PR lists the packages and why, the migrations used / waiting for our dependencies' feedstocks / not concerning the distribution, and the conflicts the new pins add (labelled dependency-conflict) - bot: one pinning job per distribution every day - check_dependency_compat.py: requirements of every selected package from vinca (--source recipes for the old behaviour), retries, --stale handles ros2-* names and -devel pins Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…ot conflicts A dependency that is only a run requirement and installs with a newer glibc than the build floor (re-solved with that glibc), e.g. conda-forge's libcamera 0.5.2 (glibc 2.34), limits the systems it installs on but doesn't conflict with the pins. The JSON lists those under "notes"; the check passes when only notes remain. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Daily conda-forge pinning PRs, one per distribution, that rebuild only what the changed pins affect instead of everything.
rs <distro> update-pinning/@robostack-bot update-conda-forge-pinning [<distro>... | all]conda_forge_pinning_version/conda_forge_migrationsindistro.yaml;shared/pinning/conda_forge.yamlfor distributions that follow it.conda_build_config.yaml.vinca-rebuild-plan(Add vinca-rebuild-plan: rebuild only what a pinning change affects vinca#168). It rebuilds packages with a changed pin among their build/host requirements, plus everything that depends on them (host or run, transitively).run_constraintschange, the mutex gets a new build at the same version, so every other published package stays installable.check_dependency_compat.py, linux-64) before and after. The PR is labelleddependency-conflictonly when the new pins add conflicts; conflicts that already exist are listed in a collapsed section. The PR body lists, each in a collapsed section:
The bot runs it daily for every distribution, so each distribution has one PR, refreshed in place.
Example (lyrical, run locally):
2026.09.25→2026.10.08, new migrationsgsl28andlibhwloc2150,vtk970finished. It rebuilds 2 of 1117 packages (vispuses gsl,spatio_temporal_voxel_layeruses openexr), and the dependency check reports no new conflicts.check_dependency_compat.py
--source recipeskeeps the old behaviour.recipes/only holds unbuilt packages with skip-existing, so the old default checked an incomplete set.--stalenow handlesros2-*names and-develpins (e.g.libboost_develvs. thelibboostrun dependency). Also
