feat: add the one-hour cache write rate to binding pricing types - #1661
Adds cache_write_1h_per_million to the Python, Node and Go pricing types. Rust and raw catalogs already take it, but Python's TokenPricingRates raised TypeError, Go's struct had no field for it, and Node's type left it out. The docs never named the rate, so I added it there too.
I confirm this contribution is my own work, or I have the right to submit it under this project's license.
I searched existing issues and open pull requests, and this does not duplicate existing work.
Details
Python: new dataclass field, also in to_dict.
Go: new CacheWrite1hPerMillion field, omitted when unset.
Node: type only. tokenRates already passes extra fields through.
Docs: model-pricing.mdx says what the rate prices, and that without it Relay omits the cache-write cost and the total when usage has one-hour writes.
test_python_library_reference.py pins the exact constructor signature, so its expected string gets the new field.
No pricing math changes. This leaves out the catalog cache_write_rates, the 5m decode and OpenAI 30m/12h from the #1615 plan. Anthropic 5m and 1h are the only durations Relay decodes today, and both are already priced. I asked on #1615 whether those are wanted, so this says "Relates to" until you answer.
Where should the reviewer start?
python/nemo_relay/model_pricing.py, then python/tests/test_model_pricing_plugin.py.
Testing
New tests in Python, Node and Go. Each sets the rate, then checks that Relay's validator accepts 6.0 and rejects -1.
just test-python, just test-node, uv run pre-commit run on the changed files.
Go: go test ./... against a debug FFI build, not just test-go, because of my shared target directory.
Real run: built a catalog with the Python types and loaded it through a file source in the gateway. A mock Anthropic response with 60 5m and 40 1h writes priced cache_write at 0.000465 (3.75 and 6.00 per million).
Not run: just test-rust, since no Rust changed.

Pricing configuration now supports a separate optional rate for one-hour cache writes across supported language libraries. The rate is included when set and omitted when unset.
Documentation
Clarified which cache-write rate applies to one-hour writes and how costs are handled when a rate for reported cache usage is missing. Priced components may remain available, while cache-write costs or the aggregate total are omitted when required rates are unavailable.
Bug Fixes
Negative one-hour cache-write rates are rejected during configuration validation.
Python, Go, and Node pricing types add an optional one-hour cache-write rate. Tests cover serialization and validation. Documentation describes duration-specific rates and documented behavior when a rate is missing.

Summary
Add and validate the one-hour cache-write rate crates/node/model_pricing.d.ts, crates/node/tests/model_pricing_tests.mjs, go/nemo_relay/model_pricing.go, go/nemo_relay/model_pricing_test.go, python/nemo_relay/model_pricing.py, python/tests/test_model_pricing_plugin.py, scripts/tests/test_python_library_reference.py, docs/configure-plugins/model-pricing.mdx, docs/integrate-into-frameworks/provider-response-codecs.mdx
Python, Go, and Node pricing types add the optional cache_write_1h_per_million rate. Tests check serialization when set, omission when unset, and validation of positive and negative values. Documentation distinguishes one-hour cache writes from other cache writes and describes the documented behavior when a required rate is missing.
The new rate is consistently exposed, serialized, validated, and documented across the supported bindings. No actionable merge risk remains.

Qualify the missing-rate rule by cache-write duration.
For usage containing only one-hour writes, cache_write_1h_per_million can price the writes without cache_write_per_million. The existing paragraph says that omitting cache_write_per_million prevents an aggregate total. Update that paragraph to name the rate required for each reported duration. The pricing implementation checks the two rates separately. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update the missing-rate explanation in this paragraph to identify the required
rate for each reported cache-write duration: one-hour writes can use

separate cache-read requirement and clarify when omitting a duration’s
applicable rate prevents the aggregate total.

Implement the unmet #1615 criteria in this PR, or narrow the scope. To
implement: (a) add per-duration `cache_writes` entries to Anthropic usage
decoding for 5m (300) and 1h (3600), with a total equal to their sum; (b) add
`cache_write_rates` pricing matched by exact duration, with a missing match
leaving the cache-write cost unset; (c) add the typed per-duration rate list to
Python, Node and Go, with tests. To narrow: change the link from "Closes" to
"Relates to" and state which #1615 criteria remain. The issue owner must confirm
the reduced scope before #1615 closes.
