Hi! I'm Luis F. Villalon, a former first responder turned developer, with a passion for building tools that create real impact in my community. I discovered programming through web development as a hobby and fell in love with the constant learning and challenge that computer science offers. After teaching myself full-stack development through resources like The Odin Project and freeCodeCamp, I transferred into Computer Science at San Diego State University where I am finishing my last.
- Expanding my technical knowledge of AI and agentic systems through programs such as CodePath, independent learning, and my undergraduate Computer Science coursework.
- Building Task Master, a personal full-stack application for managing habits, tasks, and notes. I use this project to strengthen my full-stack development skills while exploring practical applications of AI in development and production environments.
- Maintaining my technical blog and portfolio, where I document projects, technical concepts, and lessons from my development journey.
- Seeking opportunities to contribute to open-source projects, collaborate with other developers, and gain experience working within established codebases.
- Preparing to enter my final year of undergraduate Computer Science while strengthening my technical skills and beginning my search for software engineering opportunities.
