fix(mpris): route play/pause through the App's native helpers - #986
The MPRIS Play, Pause, PlayPause and Stop arms in handle_mpris_events called player.play() / player.pause() directly and left native_is_playing, the playbar and the MPRIS status to librespot's Playing/Paused event.
When that event is late or never arrives, spotatui keeps showing Playing after a pause, and PlayPause, which read shared_is_playing (also set only by those events), pauses again instead of resuming.
src/core/app/AGENTS.md asks every pause to go through App::pause_native_playback, never a bare player.pause().
The resume branch of toggle_playback() is now App::resume_native_playback(), next to pause_native_playback(). toggle_playback() calls it, with no change in behavior.
The four MPRIS arms call the two helpers.
PlayPause picks its direction from native_is_playing and falls back to shared_is_playing only while it is still None.
MPRIS now matches the TUI key in three more ways: Play is refused while the unavailable-track guard holds playback, Pause clears a parked StartPlayback and the load watchdog, and with soloist Pause also pauses the Soloist link.
The visible difference is mainly for setups where the event is late or missing. The rest is consistency with the TUI path.
With no track loaded, a resume asks Spotify for the last playback (StartPlayback), like the TUI key, instead of showing Playing in silence.
Each arm decides whether the local player takes the key under the same lock that acts (local_player_takes_play_key), so a player that recovery removed in between falls back instead of flipping the state.
That decision counts the local player as playing only while native_is_playing isn't Some(false). After another device takes over, Stopped clears it before shared_is_playing, and PlayPause now pauses that device instead of resuming here. Pull-backs (Playback goes back to spotatui after switching to my phone in the car #693) keep the key.
pause_and_resume_flip_the_play_state_without_a_player_event fails with the native_is_playing = Some(true) line in resume_native_playback() commented out.
Release build, native streaming: after playerctl -p spotatui pause, the playbar, playerctl status and a Quickshell media widget show Paused at once; on 0.47.0 they stayed on Playing. playerctl -p spotatui play-pause twice gives Paused, then Playing.
Resume switches the state to Playing, but audio does not come back on my machine. It does not come back after a TUI pause either, with or without this change.
Not run: the all-sources, gui, soloist and headless legs, and macOS.
Additional notes
The tests cover the helpers and the routing decisions, not the MPRIS arms, which run in the D-Bus loop; I can pull the PlayPause direction into a small pure function if you want it tested. The macOS (handle_macos_media_events) and Windows media handlers in startup.rs use the same bare player.pause()/play(). I left them alone because I can't test either platform, and can do the same change in a follow-up.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
MPRIS Play, Pause, PlayPause, and Stop commands now use the app’s playback controls, with playback state updated immediately.
Resume requests no longer start playback when the selected track is unavailable.
MPRIS commands are routed based on current playback ownership and state, preventing stale playback information from directing commands to the local player.
Existing Spotify fallback behavior remains available when the local player should not handle a command.
MPRIS PlayPause, Play, Pause, and Stop use App playback methods when a local streaming player takes the play key. Native resume applies the unavailable-track guard and updates playback state immediately. Existing Spotify fallback dispatches remain.

Summary
Native playback state updates src/core/app/transport.rs
resume_native_playback applies the unavailable-track guard, controls the streaming player when present, and updates playback state. The native toggle uses this method. Tests cover state updates, missing loaded items, and guarded resume.
MPRIS transport commands use App playback methods when a local player takes the play key. A locked App check confirms player availability and play-key ownership. Existing Spotify fallback dispatches remain. The changelog records the routing change.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 66441
After a pause, resuming a Spotify queue track through a media key may not update the queue's resume state. If the audio backend later recovers, the track can reload paused. The case is narrow and has a workaround, so the change is mergeable with this follow-up noted.
