Context

The v2.0.1 release authenticated successfully with PyPI OIDC and published all five wheels, but PyPI rejected the sdist because its metadata declared LICENSE while the tarball omitted that file. jas_vector_core 0.1.0 was published successfully.

Changes

  • prepare ses-core 2.0.2 without moving or reusing the v2.0.1 tag
  • explicitly include LICENSE in Maturin source distributions
  • require LICENSE in the release artifact verifier
  • make PyPI uploads retry-safe with skip-existing
  • skip crates.io publication only when the exact crate version already exists; fail on indeterminate registry responses

Local validation

  • release contract tests: 4 passed
  • validate_release.py --tag v2.0.2: passed
  • maturin wheel and sdist builds: passed
  • artifact verifier: passed and confirmed ses_core-2.0.2/LICENSE
  • twine check: wheel and sdist passed
  • publish.yml parsed as valid YAML
  • full local suite reached 74 passed and 11 setup errors caused solely by denied Windows pytest temp-directory ACL; remote Linux CI is the acceptance authority

No tag or registry publication is performed by this PR.
