Since the client keeps the crop as a percentage of the image's natural size, storing Crop components as int dropped the fractional part, so getCrop() returned whole percentages and setCrop(getCrop()) could move the selection on large images (1% of a 4000px image is 40px). Crop's x, y, width and height are now double.

A deprecation path isn't possible here: a record can't expose both int x() and double x(), and since 2.0.0 already contains breaking changes, the type is widened directly.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Crop selections now retain fractional percentage values when retrieved and reapplied, preventing the selection from shifting due to rounding.

Walkthrough

Crop now stores coordinates and dimensions as double values. The getCrop() documentation describes preservation of fractional percentages. A test verifies that fractional percent values remain unchanged when a crop is read and then set again.

Crop uses double for its coordinates and dimensions. The getCrop() documentation describes retaining fractional percentages. The test checks that fractional values persist through getCrop() and setCrop().

Title check Passed The title clearly and concisely describes the main change: preserving sub-percent precision in crop values by changing the crop components to double values.
Linked Issues check Passed Issue #36 requires sub-percent precision in getCrop() values and proposes double components. Crop now declares x, y, width, and height as double. ImageCrop documents fractional percentage preservation…
Out of Scope Changes check Passed The changes are limited to the Crop component type, related getCrop() documentation, and focused regression coverage. These changes directly support issue #36 and introduce no unrelated behavior.
