Permissions

1. Commercial Use: The Software and Content may be used for commercial purposes.
2. Distribution: Copies of the Software and Content, in whole or in part, may be distributed freely.

Conditions

1. License and Copyright Notice: All copies or substantial portions of the Software and Content must include this license file and attribution to the Civic Identity Registry.

4. Patent Grant:
   • Each contributor grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free patent license under the contributor's essential patent claims to make, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise run, modify, and propagate the contents of their contributor version.
   • If you convey a covered work knowingly relying on a patent license, you must ensure that the corresponding source is publicly available free of charge under this license or arrange to extend the patent license to downstream recipients.
   • You may not impose any further restrictions on the rights granted under this license through patent claims.
   • If you enter into an agreement that limits others’ rights under this license, you may not distribute the Software or Content.
5. Source Disclosure Requirement: If you distribute the Software or derivative works, you must make the source code publicly available under this license. If distributing Content or derivative works, proper attribution and access to the original Content must be provided.
6. Trademark Protection: Unauthorized use of the Civic Identity Registry’s name, logo, or associated trademarks is prohibited. Use of the name or logo requires prior written permission.
7. Term and Termination:
   • This license is granted for the duration of the copyright. However, if any term of this license is violated, the license will be automatically terminated.
   • If the violation is cured within 30 days of receiving notice, the license may be reinstated unless explicitly terminated by the Administrator of the CIR.
