Changes lost if filename changed without saving

Repro:

1. Create a new file named "file.excalidraw"
2. Add a shape
3. Don't save, but change file name to "other.excalidraw"

Expected: Shape should still be in file
Actual: File reverted to blank & changes lost

This issue is also present for me: version 3.9.3

It should retain file contents like renaming any other unsaved file in VS Code.

A further update: This appears to be an issue with the vscode CustomEditor API?

As a stopgap, you can go into "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\workspaceStorage", and inside this directory will be lots of sub directories corresponding to vscode sessions. Inside these folders may be a "pomdtr.excalidraw-editor" directory. In here are the backups of your drawings.

Copy all the files out to another directory, rename the files to .excalidraw, and see if your drawing is there. You may have to try multiple directories before you find your lost drawing :)

Replace "Code" with "Code - Insiders" if using Insider build of vscode.
