Build & Deployment

Building instructions:

1. Download/Clone project
2. Open FSDefender.sln solution in Visual Studio 2017
3. Build Debug x64 or Release x64

Copy files to your testing setup: fsd.sys, fsd.inf, fsd.cer, FSDManager.exe

Deployment:

(We used Hyper-V Manager and Windows 10 VM)

1. Disable sign checks for Drivers in VM or configure Kernel Debugging and connect WinDBG to VM
2. Install FSDefender Driver Module using fsd.inf
3. Using administrator command line load FSD Driver. Run: fltmc load fsd
4. Using administrator command line attach FSD Driver to Volume. Run: fltmc attach fsd C:
5. Run FSDManager.exe
