I have a hard time finding an open-source input method for mobile phones that offers comprehensive support for multiple languages (Chinese, Japanese, English, and French).
Describe the solution you'd like
In this issue, my main request is to add the Chinese Wubi input (五笔输入法) method (Qwerty) and the Japanese Romanization input method (Qwerty). Support for East Asian characters by various input methods has always been a major problem.
Use case
Chinese input method: Wubi input method is the most efficient Chinese character input method. Currently, the open-source implementation that supports this input method is 小企鹅输入法. Futo Keyboard does not support the Wubi input method, while Gboard does, but does not support custom code tables (码表).
Japanese input methods: 9-key and QWERTY are the main input methods for Japanese users.
Alternatives considered
For the Wubi input method, we could consider introducing RIME.
