Question

By the Readme for the offline translation.

Built-in Offline Translation (ML Kit), or your configured Cloud / Self-Hosted AI Provider (Gemini, Groq, OpenAI, Ollama) with seamless fallback.

3. Translation Setup (Offline & Online)

In LeanType, open Settings → Translation.
Install the companion [LeanType Translation Plugin](https://github.com/LeanBitLab/LeanType-Translation-Plugin/releases/latest) (or configure Cloud/Self-Hosted AI for online builds).
Download or import your required language translation models.
Tap the Translate icon on the keyboard toolbar to translate selected text or your input field instantly.

But if I do not add a GGUF model. Error: No local model selected.

No local model selected. Please select an ONNX model in settings.

Translation Plugin: 1.0.4
Offline Translation model downloaded: English, French, German. By the app.

The Question is : Is this the intended use of the translation tool?
If adding a model the translation works. But I have no idea which translation tool is taken.

The offline translation model mentioned isnt ai model, you just load the plugin then load the zip file mentioned in the translation model page according to which language you want to translate, to use translation you have 3 engine option

auto - if there is plugin loaded/setup correctly/failed to load zip use plugin else ai,

• Use plugin strictly
• use ai
  Ai is unrelated to the plugin, you can use ai without the translation plugin

Oh wait, i think there is an issue on offline and lite flavour, i was using standard

And you are right i forget to decouple the target language in offline flavours, which makes it impossible to change target language
