Good news: I've finished the Avalonia UI update for AudioTools!
Bad news: It's not going to work....
I've been working on getting to this point for a few weeks and now that it's done I was all ready to build it...Only to run in to a massive roadblock of it not wanting to build the .deb file as well as a graphical bug that cannot be resolved as it's tied to the way the gui operates in Avalonia. Also, the more I look at forking it to other applications (which would require a rewrite of everything that isn't strictly UI based) the more I think this is going to give me bigger headaches.
As much as I don't want to, I think I'm going to have to abandon this Avalonia project and recode the GTK application I started this with to better standards of C#/gtksharp and a better UI. Which sucks because making GTK look decent is a pain and Avalonia is easy.
Oh well. This isn't the first time I've had to abandon a project, and surely it won't be the last.
